Pumpkins (Japanese/Butternut/ QLD Blue)
Butternut pumpkin has a sweet, nutty taste that is similar to pumpkin. It has yellow skin and orange fleshy pulp. When ripe, it turns increasingly deep orange, and becomes sweeter.
Japanese pumpkin has a naturally sweet flavour, it is similar in texture and flavour to a pumpkin and a sweet potato combined.
QLD Blue is a large variety with deep orange flesh and a grey-green skin. It has good flavour and stores very well.
